Making sure you are prepared for the worst ensures that you have a solid foundation to progress in business should you get seriously injured or ill and you can’t work.
Everyone that is self-employed, especially coaches and personal trainers, should have some form of income protection insurance.
Should you seriously injure yourself or get ill, and you cannot provide your services to clients, you will no longer be in a position to earn a wage.
There are so many coaches out there with nothing in place to protect themselves and their families. Without insurance in place you will have no protection.
It’s one of those financial safeguards that I’d recommend putting in place as soon as possible, because once you take out an income protection policy for your coaching business there is usually a buffer period (typically to stop fraud) whereby a 30 to 90 day period passes and you’re not insured or covered.
So the sooner you get covered and protection in place, the sooner you can secure yourself, your family and your business.
