Almost every client that we’ve onboarded to Coach Accounts has been accidentally paying for some of their business expenses through their personal account.
Either not knowing it’s for business purposes or they just didn’t have access to the business debit card at the time.
Remember that when doing your tax calculations if you are not including these expenses, you are paying HMRC more money for no reason!
As long as you can provide proof of the transaction and have a receipt for the expense it can still be added onto your business expenses at year end
No word of a lie, we have saved some of our clients over £4000 in their tax bill by just doing a personal bank account audit and identifying these transactions.
Make sure you do this each month if you are doing your own books and include them in your business year end returns!
